  1. System and Application Engineer

 

Job Description:

 

You will be working for a technology startup company as an electrical system design and application engineer with great potential to grow your career with the company. The company’s core business is offering smart sensor ASIC devices and application solutions to industrial/automotive, as well as consumer product sectors. The major job responsibilities of successful candidate include:

 

  • Design and develop sensor ASIC demo system;

  • ASIC embedded firmware development;

  • Design  and develop ASIC evaluation /calibration/application system;

  • Design and develop ASIC test system;

  • Test and evaluate ASIC engineering and production samples;

  • Development of customer application solutions;

  • Field application technical support;

  • Marketing/sales web tools development/maintenance;

  • Other tasks assigned from time to time.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Self-motivated electrical engineer highly interested in real world machine (hardware and software system) design and development;

  • Electrical engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate with a master’s degree;

  • 1-3 year’s industrial working experience with direct  hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design, embedded system and embedded firmware development; Direct  hands-on experience in the above fields gained from bachelor’s and master’s thesis projects will be treated as equivalent experience;

  • A solid understanding of analog and digital electronics is essential in this position;

  • Strong technical background and analytical ability;

  • Proven capability of completing a design project independently;

  • Excellent hands-on skills;

  • Computer languages and applications: C, C++, Assembly, Matlab/Simulink, Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for firmware development, Visual Basic;

  • Good at multi-tasking and flexible in project arrangement;

  • Strong communication skills both in written and spoken English;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong sense of individual responsibility;

  • PCB layout design skills and tools will be a plus;

  • Technical background in sensors and semiconductor process will be a plus;

  • Web design skills will be a plus.
